Snowdon 17th July
Time & Location
About the Event
Always wanted to aim high and climb a mountain? Then join us for this women's group walk up Wales and England's tallest mountain, Snowdon.
Standing at 1085 metres Snowdon is a part of a close-knit family of jagged peaks and can offer views of Snowdonia, Anglesey, Pembrokeshire and even Ireland. We will be taking the Llanberis path, considered the easiest route and hopefully offering fantastic views on the journey up. You do not need any previous mountain experience but you do need to be able to walk a good few hours.
The walk will be 9 miles and led by qualified mountain guides so no need to worry about navigation. The pace will be relaxed with plenty of stops and you will recieve plenty of support before and during the walk.
The walk is open to individuals and groups.
Participants are required to follow social distancing rules on the walk.
Hand sanitiser will be available.
Your booking is secure - if government guidelines does not allow for the walk to go ahead you will recieve a full refund.
What do I need to bring?
You will need to wear sturdy walking boots/walking shoes as the path is rocky.
Prepare for all weathers on the mountain and bring spare layers and waterproof jacket and trousers.
A day pack (lined with a dry bag / plastic bag) with at least 2 litres of water and a packed lunch with plenty of snacks.
You will recieve a kit list once booked on.
Where do I meet?
We always start and finish the walk near places you can park. There are a number of official car parks in Llanberis and we will meet in front of the Snowdon Mountain Railway Cinema building at 10.00 AM:
The price is £40 pp and this includes your guided walk up Snowdon led by qualified mountain guides (transport, accomodation and food are not included).
